New Harlan Coben

A blistering new Myron Bolitar thriller from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Hold Tight arrives in bookstores March 31st.

Harlan Coben’s millions of fans have waited three long years for a new Myron Bolitar novel—taking Coben’s last stand-alone, Hold Tight, to #1 on the New York Times list in the interim—and next year their patience will be rewarded in spectacular fashion.

Myron hasn’t heard from Terese Collins in years. Not since their affair ended with no explanation. There had been no contact since, so her call catches him off guard. She’s in Paris, she says, in trouble, and only Myron can help. She tells him a sad story she’s never before revealed: a good marriage, her struggles to get pregnant, the happiest moment of her life when her only child was born, the day everything she’d ever loved was taken from her. In the years since, Terese has had no contact with her ex-husband, until the phone call that brought her to Paris.

When she gets there he’s been murdered, and she’s a suspect. But then comes a startling piece of evidence that turns the entire case upside down, laying bare Terese’s long-buried family secrets in a most shocking way and leaving Myron nowhere to turn for help. Caught in a foreign landscape where nothing is as it seems, he must tear apart the city—and eventually the globe— fighting for answers to unfathomable questions that will take Myron, and millions of Harlan Coben readers, where they have never gone before.---Penguin Books

Harlan Coben does humor and suspense equally and this book is no exception. And even if you haven't read any of the other Myron Bolitar books, he does a great job of filling you in on the relationships of the recurring characters. Certainly he stretches plausible scenarios, but you just hang on for the entertaining ride. A great weekend read.

Saturday's book signing with Doug Hansen, author and illustrator of "Mother Goose in California" was unbelievable. Well over 200 people happily waited in line to meet Doug and get a book signed. Take a look at the publishers blog to see what they had to say.

Mother Goose in California

Mark your calendars for March 7th and join us in celebrating the publication of "Mother Goose in California".

I'm really excited about this book, it is pure Mother Goose with a California twist- fun for both kids and adults. Doug was recently in our store to do a television spot while talking with some students about his new book and I was fascinated with his stories of the places and animals that he illustrated. His love of art and of his profession as an artist and professor was evident in his presentation, everyone in the store at the time was absolutely enthralled.

I plan on being the first in line to get my copy of "Mother Goose in California" autographed by Doug. I hope to see you there!
